SU's Rolling to Give Artist's Talk at NY6 Art Exhibit

James Haywood Rolling, Jr., dual professor of art education and teaching and leadership at Syracuse University, will give an artist's talk on Thursday, February 8, in conjunction with the exhibition, New York Six: Art Studio Practice and Pedagogy, at St. Lawrence University's Richard F. Brush Gallery. The talk, "From Practice to Responsibility: The Pedagogical Odyssey of an Art + Design Educator,” will begin at 4:30 p.m. in Griffiths Hall, Room 123.

NY6 Faculty Art Exhibition Open at SLU

The Richard F. Brush Art Gallery at St. Lawrence University is exhibiting the work of 39 faculty artists from across the New York Six Consortium, through February 24. The exhibit, New York Six: Art Studio Practice and Pedagogy, not only gives faculty artists and opportunity to show their artwork, it also explores the questions, "How does your creative artmaking practice affect your teaching, and how does teaching affect your art practice?"

McCay Named NY6 Project Manager

Deanna H. McCay of Cazenovia, has been named project manager at the New York Six Liberal Arts Consortium. In this role, McCay will manage the Consortium’s academic and co-curricular collaborations in areas such as less-commonly taught languages, off-campus study, undergraduate student research, and multidisciplinary faculty research.
