McCay Named NY6 Project Manager

Deanna H. McCay of Cazenovia, has been named project manager at the New York Six Liberal Arts Consortium. In this role, McCay will manage the Consortium’s academic and co-curricular collaborations in areas such as less-commonly taught languages, off-campus study, undergraduate student research, and multidisciplinary faculty research. 

McCay most recently served as program manager for the EMPOWER Research Traineeship Program at Syracuse University, funded by the National Science Foundation. She also has held the positions of acquisitions editor at Syracuse University Press, instructor of geography at Syracuse, and assistant professor of geography at Colgate University. McCay holds a bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University, a master’s degree from Penn State, and a doctorate from the University of Georgia.

“Deanna comes to the New York Six with extensive experience in planning and executing complex academic collaborations across schools and programs at Syracuse,” said Amy Cronin, executive director of the Consortium. “Her ability to manage multiple programs and projects and engage a broad range of people will ensure the continued success of the New York Six.”
