3rd Annual NY6 Regional Model African Union Simulation

Hamilton College in Clinton, NY welcomes the NY6 schools to the 3rd annual regional Model African Union simulation.

On behalf of Hamilton College's Model United Nations Club, we cordially invite your institution to partake in the NY6 Model African Union Conference, which is scheduled to be held from the 3rd to the 5th of November, 2017, at Hamilton College in Clinton, NY.

This 3-day event brings teams of 6 to 9 students and a faculty advisor from each school together.  Delegations are formed with three students who represent an African country in committee and council sessions.  Each school can represent up to three countries.  **No experience necessary**

The weekend will involve extensive discussions, substantive debates, and resolution writing, which will help students develop and transform their ideas into actions in a realistic simulation of three African Union bodies.  The conference will also include a host of social and cultural events, as well as an address from a keynote speaker.

Meals and accommodations will be provided for the delegates by Hamilton College and a gracious contribution from the New York 6.  Faculty meals will also be covered.  Teams must be formed and confirmed with the Secretariat at Hamilton College by Friday, September 22, 2017.  To register, please email us at mun@hamilton.edu with the number of students and faculty advisors that will be attending.  General inquiries can be addressed to the Model UN faculty advisor Professor Kira Jumet (kjumet@hamilton.edu) or Secretary General of the Conference AlMahdi Mahil (amahil@hamilton.edu).
